On the day of the crucifixion, as the sky darkened over Golgotha, a roaring engine split the heavens. A sleek American-made fighter jet descended through the clouds, piloted by a grinning figure with a halo, aviator sunglasses, and an American made flight suit covered in corporate sponsorship patches. “Don’t worry, brother,” Jet Fighter Jesus shouted to Christ below. “You handle the love and forgiveness thing. I’ll take care of the rest.” Christ looked up as he took his dying breath, confused and frowning as the mysterious pilot gave a thumbs-up and disappeared into the clouds.

For centuries afterward, Jet Fighter Jesus traveled the world, boasting he was the “action-oriented version” of the message. Wherever humans found power, wealth, and territory, he appeared with a thumbs-up and a mission briefing. When emperors discovered that the cross could be more than a symbol of sacrifice — that it could also become a Warhammer carried into battle — Jet Fighter Jesus parked his aircraft beside their thrones and declared the beginning of a new era of “spiritual air superiority.”

When kings marched armies beneath the cross, Jet Fighter Jesus flew overhead dropping Bible verses exclusively from the Old Testament. “Remember,” he shouted through his radio, “we’re not just conquering; we’re expanding the brand!” Every battlefield became a “mission,” every empire became a “kingdom upgrade,” and every person caught beneath the wheels of history became a noble statistic in the official after-action report.

One day, in 1227, Jetfighter Jesus landed in Iran to refuel and take a leak on a beautiful palm tree. It was then that he was shot in the back of the head by the coward Genghis Khan. His body decomposed and fertilized the soil from which sprouted a magical beanstalk which grew the most heavenly dates. Those dates would later be sold to Spanish and Italian fleets searching for new worlds to convert. It was aboard one such fleet flagship, the Santa Maria, that Christopher Columbus consumed a magical date, pit and all, causing him to give birth to Jetfighter Jesus on July 4th in the year of our Lord, 1492.

When ships sailed across oceans carrying explorers, soldiers, and missionaries, Jet Fighter Jesus escorted them from the skies. He pointed toward unfamiliar lands and declared, “Look at all these new opportunities for civilization!” Below him were people who already had cultures, languages, families, and histories — but Jet Fighter Jesus only saw free real estate on the map waiting for a flag, a fortune, and maybe even a little capitalistic democratic republic.

As centuries passed, Jet Fighter Jesus became the ultimate mascot for anyone who wanted divine approval for earthly ambitions. He blessed armies, saluted weapons factories, and celebrated every new invention designed to make conquest faster and more efficient. Meanwhile, whenever someone suggested feeding the hungry, caring for the sick, educating children, or helping the poor, Jet Fighter Jesus checked his mission budget and said, “Sorry, libtard, we had to spend it all on a bigger jet.”

In the modern age, Jet Fighter Jesus became the star of the greatest military campaign the world had ever seen. He flew over stadiums, rallies, and television broadcasts, waving the flag, praising strength, and promising that victory was always just one more aircraft carrier, one more weapon system, and one more enemy away. “Peace through overwhelming firepower!” he shouted into his YouTube livestream cockpit media system.

And somewhere beyond the clouds, the real Christ watched his strange replacement flying circles around the planet. Jet Fighter Jesus had spent two thousand years building exactly the opposite of what Christ had taught, yet he remained convinced he was the hero of the story. “I held it down, brother!” he shouted toward heaven. “Look at everything we accomplished!” The silence that followed was louder than any engine, because even Jet Fighter Jesus was beginning to suspect he might have misunderstood the mission.
